How to Use Your Fit Sticks

Fit Sticks work best when mixed into 6-10 ounces of water and taken twice daily. For optimal results take a Fit Stick approximately 30-45 minutes before Breakfast and another Fit Stick approximately 30-45 minutes before lunch.  Taking the Fit Stick prior to these two meals is very important for weight loss.  For energy boosts they can be used at your leisure.  We recommend you take 2 Fit Sticks per day.

To get the most results in a 5 day period please review and follow the Fit 5 Meal Plan, this meal plan was designed specifically for weight loss.  You can eat the same things for each meal everyday if you wish but you cannot substitute a Breakfast for a Lunch etc, try to eat only off the Breakfast menu for breakfast.

Only drink water during the Fit 5 Plan and make sure you are consuming at least half of your body weight in ounces everyday.  For example, if you weigh 150 pounds you will want to consume at least 75 ounces of water each day.

Make sure that you consume all of your meals and snacks within an 8 hour eating window, for example if you eat breakfast at 8am you’ll want to be completely finished eating by 4pm.  We know this is very hard to do for most people especially with work but it is very important to get as close to the eating window as you can for best results.

Once you complete the 5 day program we recommend you maintain the same type of eating style but boost your calories up to 1,300 for women and 1,500 for men.  By this time you should have an understanding of what type of foods you should be eating.  Simply increase some of the portions of the 5 day meal plan if you feel overwhelmed by this.

It is extremely important to limit the amount of sugar and carbohydrates that you consume.  Drinking even a single can of soda per day can have a substantial impact on your weight loss goals.

In a study conducted by Kekwick and Pawan, three groups were put on calorically equal semistarvation diets of 90% fat, 90% protein, and 90% carbohydrates.  The source of the calories led to substantially different results.

1,000 calories @ 90% fat resulted in an average weight loss of 0.9lbs per day

1,000 calories @ 90% protein resulted in an average weight loss of 0.6lbs per day

1,000 calories @ 90% carbohydrate resulted in an average weight GAIN of 0.24 lbs per day

Always remember that sugars are carbohydrates and even while eating only 1,000 calories a day it is possible to still gain weight if you consume too many carbohydrates.

Exercise (Optional)

We highly encourage you to exercise during this period.  We have a Fit 5 exercise plan if you’re interested in following a simple light load workout.  There are intensity levels that range from sedentary to an athlete.  Exercise is a great way to target specific areas of your body and to burn more fat.
